Hey Class of 2026 and Parents, let’s clear up one of the biggest myths out there:
Waiting until spring to book your senior session is not your best move.
While spring senior pictures are gorgeous (and yes, we love the flowers too), there are some real scheduling and timeline challenges that can sneak up on you if you wait too long. As your go-to senior photographer in Iola, KS, here’s what I want every senior and parent to know:
1. Spring = SO Much Going On
By the time spring hits your senior year, life is full-speed ahead.
Between college visits, prom, senior banquets, spring break, and finals, it’s hard to find a free day, let alone one with good weather! And reschedules due to rain or storms? Total headache when your calendar’s already packed.
Booking your senior photo session in the fall or winter gives you way more flexibility and peace of mind.
2. You’ll Want Time for Grad Products
Custom grad announcements, wall art, and heirloom albums take time to design and deliver, and you’ll want them ready for your grad party and celebrations!
Here’s a real timeline:
• Editing = 2–3 weeks
• Design & product turnaround = another 2–3 weeks
That’s up to 6 weeks after your session before your products arrive.
If you wait until April or May to shoot, it may be too late to order what you want.
3. Planning a Spring Session? Book it NOW
If showcasing your college decision is important and you’re waiting until spring for that info, no problem. But don’t wait until spring to book.
Spring is the busiest season for senior photography in Iola, KS, and our available dates go fast.
The best time to reserve your spring session? Right now, during fall or winter of your senior year.
Booking early gives you access to our Senior Prep Guide, wardrobe help, and location planning. You’ll feel totally ready when it’s time to shoot.
